Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet a few of the musicians that I admire and realized that I’ve accumulated quite a few of these stories and thought they would be fun to share on this site. A few occurred at concerts or places where you might expect to see a famous musician, but some of my “encounters” took place at very unassuming places, like the grocery store or the mall, etc.
I’m a fan, as well as a bass player, and know what my favorite musicians look like, especially nowadays with the internet, youtube, etc. I did get a few pictures with some of them, but many of these events happened long before cell phones and a few, I just got caught up in the moment and plain forgot to ask or chickened out, ie Robert Plant. At the end of the day, you’ll just have to take my word for it.
